When is the program?
Present Company is an 8 week program beginning June 6, 2026 and ending July 31. This includes a mandatory three day, two night retreat in Headlands’ Artist Residences June 6–8, 2026. The program consists of two sessions per week (starting June 9 and ending on July 31): 1) Sunday’s 2pm: at Headlands Center for the Arts followed by free dinner with Headlands’ Artists Residence at 6:30pm. 2) Tuesday’s 11am–3pm: at a rotating space in the greater Bay Area.
How many participants will there be?
The core of the program will consist of a group of 10–12 local artists and 2 facilitators. Headlands Artists in Residence (summer 2026) will take part in the life of the program through studio visits, field trips, workshops, and the sharing of meals with participants.

What is the selection process?
January 15, 2026: Applications deadline
February: Submissions are reviewed by facilitators and advisors
March: Finalists are invited to a 30-minute in-person interview at Headlands Center for the Arts to determine the program participants
April: Participants notified

Application Fee: $25

Links to Vimeo, SoundCloud or YouTube can be uploaded on a PDF. Please remember to include any passwords.
